Fiorentina Agrees Deal for Real Madrid Talent

Fiorentina's management has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Spanish giants Real Madrid for the acquisition of defender Victor Valdepenas, according to Sky Sport Italia. The 19-year-old can operate both as a center-back and a left-back. Fiorentina has essentially secured a permanent transfer deal, which includes a 50% sell-on clause for Real Madrid. The two clubs now need to finalize the remaining details, most notably the specific timeframe for the defender's transfer. Real Madrid is still undecided whether to send the teenager to Florence immediately or to wait a few more weeks, allowing new head coach Jose Mourinho to assess the player's qualities during pre-season training.
