The Super Eagles of Nigeria are unchanged in the January FIFA Ranking, staying in the 66th position.

Nigeria dropped from 59th (November) to 66th in the Decemberranking and remained there in the January ranking.

They however lost one point from 541 to 540 which makes them drop one place from 13th to 14th in the African ranking.

Cote d’Ivoire remain the number one country in Africa occupying the 19th position in the world.

Algeria is second (28 in the world), Ghana is third (33), Cape Verde Islands is fourth (39) while Tunisia is fifth (40).

Senegal, Congo, Guinea, Cameroun, Egypt, Congo DR, Uganda and Mali are above Nigeria.

In the world ranking, Belgium continue to be number one, Argentina is second, Spain is third, World Champion Germany is fourth while Copa America winners Chile are fifth.

Brazil, Portugal, Columbia, England and Austria complete the top 10.
