According to the agency, eating or drinking sugar things leads to tiredness, which could cause the driver to sleep while driving, thereby leading to fatal accidents.

''Drivers may get a burst of energy from sugar and can quickly get tired while on the steering.''

FRSC recommends food with low sugar, plenty of water and drinks without caffeine.
