Nyesom Wike has taken a vacation after more than 30 days of commissioning projects across the Federal Capital Territory.
Photos captured the FCT minister enjoying a boat ride and soaking up the calm of his vacation.
Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, shared photos of the minister’s vacation on X.
Photos from the minister’s vacation were shared on social media by his media aide, Lere Olayinka, giving a glimpse into how Wike spent his time away from official duties.
In one of the photos, Wike appeared in a simple but stylish vacation outfit, with a brown shirt paired with white trousers and brown shoes.
He completed the look with a statement cap that combined brown and blue, giving the outfit a relaxed yet coordinated appearance.
Other pictures captured the former Rivers State governor enjoying different moments from his vacation, including a boat ride on the sea.
Olayinka explained that Wike’s vacation came after more than 30 days of official activities across Abuja.
According to him, the minister travelled for a break after commissioning completed projects, flagging off new ones and inspecting ongoing projects.
“Wike jetted off right after commissioning… He is somewhere in the world, relaxing after spending over 30 days commissioning projects, flagging off new ones, and inspecting ongoing ones, especially those scheduled for commissioning in December and January next year,” Olayinka wrote.
The photos have since drawn attention online, with social media users commenting on the minister’s relaxed appearance away from his usual official engagements.
Wike has remained at the centre of the FCT administration’s infrastructure drive, with several road and other development projects commissioned since he assumed office as minister.
