The 23-year-old Brazilian striker is currently with Al Hilal, who acquired him from Benfica at the start of the 2024/25 season. According to information gathered by A BOLA, the Dragons have inquired about the player's situation through his representatives.

However, as of yet, they have not made any concrete move for Marcos Leonardo, who has scored 48 goals in 82 appearances over two seasons with Al Hilal.

At this stage, FC Porto is evaluating various options to bolster its attacking sector, especially since Samu is not expected to be fit to compete until November. However, a more tangible development is likely to take some time, as André Villas-Boas himself recently stated that the transfer market tends to heat up throughout July and, particularly, in August.

For now, the responsibilities at the number 9 position rest with André Silva and 18-year-old Eduardo Ferreira, who has started pre-season training with the senior squad.

Deniz Gul, whose Turkey side was eliminated from the World Cup in the group stage, is expected to join the blue and white squad in time for the training camp in England, which begins on the 13th.
