Bologna, actively seeking a left-footed central defender to fill the void left by Jhon Lucumi's transfer to Juventus this week, has reportedly set its sights on a FC Porto player.
Dominik Prpic is one of three options being considered by the Rossoblù, according to Italian newspaper Il Resto del Carlino. The publication states that the Italian club has already initiated preliminary contact, expressing interest in a loan deal with an option to buy for the Croatian U21 international, ideally valued between 4 and 8 million euros.
Other names linked to the position include Juan Cabal (Juventus) and Nathan Gassama (Baltika). Diogo Leite, who was rumored to be returning to FC Porto just this Wednesday, is also highly regarded by Bologna.
Prpic currently sits at the bottom of Porto's defensive pecking order, behind Bednarek, Kiwior, and Nehuén Pérez. Pablo Rosario, a natural defensive midfielder, has also been deployed in central defense by Farioli on several occasions, suggesting the 22-year-old Croatian will face a tough challenge to establish himself in his second season with the Dragons.
In the 2025/26 season, he featured in 12 matches for FC Porto. In the current campaign, he started for the B team last Sunday against Farense.
