FC Porto continues to secure its future, safeguarding the brightest gems from its academy. This Saturday, the Dragons officially announced the contract renewal of Tcherno Jamanca, a 17-year-old forward who has emerged as one of the most exciting and devastating prospects in the club's youth ranks.
Following a memorable season where he clinched national titles with both the U17 and U19 squads — even finishing as the top scorer in the youth championship — the prodigious talent saw his dedication and skill rewarded with a new deal.
As he is still a minor, the contract extension adheres to the legal limit of three years, but it comes with significant protection: a release clause set at 30 million euros, underscoring the club's confidence in his potential.
Having been with FC Porto since 2024, Tcherno Jamanca didn't hide his emotion during the signing, expressing gratitude to a club he considers home: “FC Porto gave me everything when I had nothing. It’s the club of my heart.”
With his promotion to the U19s already confirmed and the B team horizon drawing closer, FC Porto ensures the continuity of a natural goalscorer who promises to bring much joy to the Estádio do Dragão.
