Farke: Disappointed to Take Just One Point Against Manchester United

Leeds manager Daniel Farke believes his side deserved all three points following their 1-1 Premier League draw against Manchester United. The two rivals clashed at Elland Road under starkly contrasting circumstances. Farke is reportedly closing in on a new deal after an impressive start to the campaign for the Whites, whereas his counterpart, Manchester United boss Michael Carrick, finds himself under mounting pressure.

"We are a bit disappointed to take only one point. Overall, I don't think we deserved to be trailing at half-time, but this is still Manchester United. In the second half, we equalised and should have maintained our dominance. Too many shots flew over the crossbar, but generally it was a solid display. We should have won the match, but we move on. We take it as a compliment that we've been doing well over the past month—if people saw us as favourites against Manchester United, it means we’ve earned it. We wanted to prove those expectations right. We dominated, but we couldn't capitalise due to a lack of quality in and around the penalty box. That says a lot about the respect we have commanded. In the end, this is our current situation, and it's a good one. It's always tough to earn points in this league. You have to be clinical and exceptionally efficient, but we just need to keep going," Farke said, as quoted by Sky Sports.

Leeds currently sit seventh in the Premier League table with seven points.
