Mourinho and Carneiro had a touchline row during the opening day 2-2 draw with Swansea after the manager fumed at her and another doctor for going on to the pitch to attend to Eden Hazard without knowing the extent of his injury.

In a  footage released by Sky Sports Mourinho can be heard saying 'son of a bitch' in Portuguese as Carneiro and the other doctor walked back to the bench.

Carneiro's role at the club was downgraded after the incident and the FIFA's medical committee will discuss Carneiro at a meeting on September 11.

The committee is expected to make clear its support of team doctors who act in the best interest of players.

"This is once again an example of the difficult situation of the team doctor," Chairman Michel D'Hooghe is quoted to say by BBC Sport.

"I want to discuss this with my colleagues and to see if we need to give a declaration from the medical side to help team doctors."
