Estrela da Amadora has no knowledge of any decision regarding the alleged procedure initiated by Hermannstadt with FIFA concerning the transfer of Ianis Stoica, who moved from the Romanian club to the Portuguese side at the beginning of the current season.
The issue surfaced yesterday when the Romanian press reported an alleged victory for Hermannstadt in a dispute, supposedly related to a breach of financial obligations by Estrela da Amadora's SAD (Sociedade Anónima Desportiva) as stipulated in the player's transfer agreement.
According to the same reports, the 'tricolores' (Estrela da Amadora) had failed to make the first payment of the deal — the purchase of Ianis Stoica's rights exceeded €1 million. Last January, Cladiu Rotar, Hermannstadt's majority shareholder, had stated that the case had been sent to FIFA and that he was awaiting a response.
In light of these reports, A BOLA contacted a source at Estrela da Amadora this Friday. The source assured us that yesterday's news was met with great "astonishment" at Reboleira, adding that "the SAD has never been notified by FIFA of any decision on the matter."
It's worth noting that Ianis Stoica, a former Romanian youth international (U-18, U-20, and U-21), joined Estrela this season and has already made 29 appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
