Amapakabo’s boys lifted the title on Sunday, October 2 after beating El Kanemi 4-0 at their home of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.

The Flying Antelopes needed only a point to win the league but tore their opponents apart to kick-off a slew of celebratory events in Enugu.

For his achievement this season, Enugu Rangers are set to reward the coach with an improved contract.

"We're talking about plans for the next season as regards preparation for the CAF Champions League and the domestic league," Charles Ndukwe, Enugu State Commissioner for Sports told Complete Sports.

"Even Imama himself said on Sunday that what is uppermost in his plans now is adequate preparation for next season.

"That alone confirms that he is willing to stay as we are determined to work with him because continuity is key to success."

Amapakabo, 49 managed Sharks and Enyimba before moving to Rangers.
