England's World Cup Status: Declan Rice Playing Through Immense Pain, One Player Misses Training

Defender Jarell Quansah is ready to feature for England in their World Cup Round of 16 match against hosts Mexico (Monday at 2:00 AM CEST), according to coach Thomas Tuchel. The availability of right-back Reece James remains uncertain due to a hamstring injury.

Quansah missed the Round of 16 clash against the Democratic Republic of Congo due to a twisted ankle, but completed a full training session in Mexico on Saturday. “Jarell trained fully and is completely ready. Reece might be able to make the bench, but we still need a final medical assessment,” Tuchel stated, according to DPA, adding that James was the only English squad member not to participate in training.

Midfielder Declan Rice, despite ongoing pain, trained with the squad. According to Tuchel, he played against DR Congo with significant discomfort caused by a nerve issue in his hamstring, which has bothered him since last Christmas.
