Morgan Gibbs-White's partner, Britney De Villiers, took to social media to question the Nottingham Forest player's latest omission from Thomas Tuchel's England squad.
In an Instagram post, De Villiers shared a statistic highlighting Gibbs-White's strong start to the season, pointing out that he is the only player to have created more than five goal-scoring opportunities in a single Premier League game so far.
This data appears to have been overlooked by the Three Lions' manager when selecting the 27 players for the first four Nations League fixtures.
The Forest captain faces stiff competition for the number 10 role, with Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, and Eberechi Eze getting the nod this time around. It's worth remembering that Gibbs-White's absence from last summer's World Cup already raised eyebrows, as he was the Premier League's top English goalscorer the previous season.
Speaking from Wembley on Friday, Thomas Tuchel justified his decision not to call up Gibbs-White, explaining that it "makes no sense" to select more than three players for the number 10 position.
