Jonathan said this while receiving the Foreign Minister of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his French counterpart, Mr. Laurent Fabius at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The president added further, as revealed via a statement released by his media aide, Reuben Abati, that there was no reason for Nigerians to be stigmatized as the disease never attained epidemic level in the country and Nigeria had also been declared Ebola-free.

The statement reads:

“Jonathan assured the visiting ministers that Nigeria would cooperate fully with other concerned nations to stop the current outbreak of Ebola in West Africa as quickly as possible.”
