They remained undefeated in three matches, notably securing a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in a London derby held in Sydney. Slovakian international goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka has been part of the Tottenham squad since the summer.

"Many things pleased me. Over the ten days of preparation in New Zealand and Australia, the team bonded well. We trained very intensely, and it positively reflected in our results. I'm glad to be working with these players.
Our team's strength will increase further once the players who remained in London – Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, Marco Senesi, and Mohammed Kudus – rejoin us," De Zerbi stated to accredited media.
