Nigeria women basketball team beat Algeria in AfroBasket

Nigeria’s women basketball team, D’Tigress continue their impressive form at the ongoing AfroBasket Women 2015.

Coach Steve Nanji followed the Monday, September 28 victor over Senegal with a 79-49 victory over Algeria.

The victory means that the D’Tigress finish top of Group B ahead of Angola, Egypt, Guinea and Senegal.

Nigeria will now face Group A’s fourth-placed team, either Mozambique or Gabon, in Thursday’s quarter-finals.

The AfroBasketball Women 2015 will end on Saturday, October 3 with the winners qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
