The Los Angeles Lakers received a welcome boost ahead of Game 2 of their Western Conference playoff series against the Houston Rockets, as Luka Doncic resumed light training, sparking cautious optimism.

The Slovenian international, sidelined since April 2 with a hamstring strain, participated in non-contact drills during recent Lakers practice sessions. While his involvement was limited in intensity, Doncic's presence marked a significant step forward in his recovery, as reported by Eurohoops.

"It was pretty good. He's definitely progressing... Having the squad together for two of the last three days has been really nice," commented head coach JJ Redick.

Austin Reaves, also recovering from a strain, similarly returned to light training alongside Luka Doncic, though his status for the upcoming games remains uncertain.
