Doc Rivers: "Things didn't go as I wanted"

Following his departure from the Bucks' coaching staff, Doc Rivers admitted that his tenure didn't unfold as he had hoped.

"We're on the same page with the team. We talked, and we wanted this to happen quickly. I don't know, we're still discussing my new role. It's a good organization; we want to be at the top again, so we'll see," he stated.

He continued: "I enjoyed the challenge. It didn't go as I would have liked. I could have done a better job. We could have had better health. Many things could have been different. I don't like to dwell on the past. All you can do is look forward. We did a lot to develop the young players. Unfortunately, this was the path presented to us, and that's what we did."
