Pauly D's Dating Show Brings The Tears Early

Pauly D's show hasn't even actually premiered yet, and he's already breaking hearts. The Jersey Shore DJ's co-star, Vinny Guadagnino posted a sneak-peek clip of the duo's new reality dating series "Double Shot at Love" on Instagram this afternoon to raz Pauly for causing some early-in-the game weeping. It's evidently the first emotional breakdown on the show, which premieres tonight on MTV at 8PM, as Guadagnino notes in his comment:

"Break down #1 and were on episode one... whos watching @doubleshotatlove tonight at 8pm on @mtv ? #doubleshotatlove ?"

In the clip, one of the contestants, Kate, rushes to the bathroom in tears as she tells herself, another contestant, and Pauly that she's not what he wants. Pauly, in a first person interview in front of rows and rows of shot classes that hints at the on-the-nose production notes of the show, registers the unexpected tears with some caution:

"The crying on date one, that's sort of a red flag for me. I'm looking for true love. Being put in this house, with these cameras, that's my lifestyle. If you can't handle that, that's a problem."

Pauly, holding what looks like a reasonably chilled chardonnay, tries to console Kate by doing probably not the smartest thing and offering her a defensive, high-pitched "WE WERE VIBING" before she turns him away.

Will Kate stick around? Or will her tears prove predicative that she is not in fact what Pauly D. wants? And, really, was that chardonnay? We'll be tuning in to find out.
