In the past 3 weeks, I have scanned through the headlines of all major (and minor) Nigerian news platforms. And have found 3 recurring major topics. The Ebola Virus rampage in West Africa, and more specifically in Lagos, Boko Haram struggling to make the North East a war feature reality movie, and finally...wait for it....Femi Otedola's child supreme, DJ Cuppy being Nigeria's fastest celebrity.

DJ Cuppy (Florence Otedola), the heir to the vast wealth of her billionaire father's empire, has over the past year been on the rise in the Nigerian Entertainment industry. Calculated branding and a well-oiled PR machine has put her in the face of Nigerian music lovers and businessmen. Even the odd fellow on the street knows that a DJ Cuppy exist.
