West Ham coach Slaven Bilic has revealed that he will continue to pick Diafra Sakho despite the forward's arrest for assault.
Sakho who featured for West Ham in their shock 2-0 victory over Arsenalwas arrested on Thursday, August 6 before the weekend game at the Emirate.
Ahead of West Ham's home game against Leicester this weekend, Bilic however says the forward will continue to play.
"He is training, he played against Arsenal, he looks okay and is not worried," Bilic said.
"He is still positive and not worried and trained normally."
The Senegalese footballer was picked up at his his Essex home, in Hornchurch, before being taken to an east London police station.
He was bailed and is set to return to the station at a date towards the end of next month.
“Officers from Tower Hamlets have arrested a man on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and malicious communication,” a police spokesman confirmed.
“The 25-year-old was arrested on Thursday, 6 August at an address in Emerson Park, Hornchurch.
“He was taken to an east London police station and has been bailed to a date in late September.”
Sakho joined West Ham last summer in a £3.5m deal from FC Metz in France’ his girlfriend Mya is reportedly pregnant with their first child.
