Presidency declines comment on ex-minister's arrest

Mrs Alison-Madueke was arrested in London on Friday along with four other persons in relation to corruption allegations being investigated by the UK National Crime Agency.

The Presidency has technically declined to comment of the latest ordeal of a former minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Alison-Madueke, who was reportedly arrested in London on Friday, October 2.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina responded "I will get back to you" when Channels TV reached out to him to confirm the arrest and if it was on the request of the Nigerian governement.

In a latest development, the former minister's Asokoro, Abuja home was said to have been raided and sealed by operatives of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). It was reported that vital documents were taken from the house.
