De Zerbi Reveals Tottenham Preparing Another 'Bombshell' Transfer

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed the club is preparing another major transfer. The Spurs have already spent over £230 million on summer signings, with Sandro Tonali and Matheus Fernandes among their new acquisitions.

“The transfer market is certainly not over. We have completed 60 percent of our project in the transfer market. Now we have another bombshell,” De Zerbi stated. The Italian confirmed that the next addition would be an attacking player, and when asked if the deal was close, he replied: “I hope so, but it’s not done.”

De Zerbi also shared that he would respect Cristian Romero's wish to leave the club: “Romero has been incredible with me. Top. In terms of behavior, respect. He suffered when he didn't play in the last match. It’s not true that he wanted to go to Argentina to prepare for the World Cup. After the semi-final against England, we exchanged messages, but I didn't call to convince him to stay. I respect what he told me. Just like with Vicario, and with every player. Romero is one of the best center-backs in the world, but I will respect the players' wishes.”
