"I Got My BET Award At The Pre-Show Not Backstage"

Contrary to speculations which made the rounds that Davido received his award backstage and not in the presence of the other heavyweight celebrities, the "Aye" singer has come out to clear the air saying that he did not receive the award backstage but rather on stage at the pre-award show.

Davido addressed this in a Channels TV report at an event to celebrate the BET nominees saying that there was a BET international television which was aired to Africa, Asia, Ireland and the UK and another which was aired only in the United States which featured only the main show hence the exclusion of the pre-show where he received his award.

He further clarified saying that immediately he won his award, he took a picture backstage which he shared on social media which led people to think he won his award backstage.
