The arms purchase saga has taken another dimension, as the Presidency has directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the issue further.

Subsequently, the EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu has set up a 27 man committee to thoroughly investigate the accusations against Dasuki.

Dasuki also came out to tell his own side of the story, adding that GEJ approved the purchase of the equipments.

Also, a source who spoke to Punch Newspapers, said “You see, these things are not like that. How do you expect him to honour the invitation when the DSSS are restricting him? He cannot leave that place.

“That is why his lawyers have written to the Acting Chairman of the EFCC to notify him that he would not be able to go to the commission.

“What I am saying is that Dasuki is not refusing to appear before the commission; he would go whenever the SSS are pulled out of the place.”
