Pulse.ng And Kinabuti Present Nigeria's Biggest Model Search

Kinabuti and Pulse.ng present the biggest model search, titled 'Dare2Dream'. The project is set to empower the average Nigerian youth through arts and fashion. The competition which takes a reality-documentary form will see models from all parts of the country coming together for a chance to audition to be a part of the first ever model search.

Set to be the year’s biggest fashion project in Nigeria, the "D2D" will give hundreds of aspiring models the chance to live their dreams on a massive media platform, the project put in place for aspiring models will also give make-up artists, stylists, bloggers, event organizers and more a chance to learn and improve on their talents from professionals from Mac Cosmetics who will follow the production team and get hands-on training in collaboration with the Richard Coker Foundation and Dana Air

Initially setup in 2010 as part of the ‘In Our Ghetto’ project, Dare2Dream is a multi-media initiative set to empower women and youth through art and fashion, while building capacity and professional exposure. The project pegged to last for a month and few days will be filmed into a 15-episode motivational reality-documentary and will be aired to the world to inspire the youth showing different angles of the Nigerian society.

Managing Partner at Kinabuti, Caterina Bortolussi reveals, "Afropolitan is the angle of the story that Dare2Dream wants to showcase, the Nigeria of the youths, their dreams, their language, their styles and talents. It is a movement and fashion is the language. AFROPOLITAN revokes in me, spike lee movies in the 90s - New York, Urban, ideas. It is an amazing time to be in Nigeria".

She adds, "Dare2Dream has been in the pipeline since we started Kinabuti in 2010 with the project "in Our Ghetto” and it is such a joy seeing it become a reality and producing with the amazing Pulse.ng team.

This year’s event kicks off on .

On November 9th the selected finalists will be taken to a boot camp where they will be thoroughly drilled for two weeks. On November 19th, a grand finale will be held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos where the winner will be announced.
