Former Super Eagles coach, Daniel Amokachi, has been appointed coach of club in Finland.
JS Hercules have handed a one-year deal to to the former Nigeria international.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, January 20 on the official website of the club.
Hercules, who are based in Oulu, Finland, were recently promoted to the Finnish second tier.
“Oulu-based football club Hercules has signed an agreement with former Nigeria national team player and Coach Daniel Amokachi," the statement on the website read.
“The head coach for the previous season Pekka Haaranen will continue as assistant coach. Amokachi’s agreement with Hercules is one year."
“We are proud to work with him...even in Finland Amokachi is popular. He's seen it all in his career,“ club chairman, Juho Syrjä said.
Amokachi was an assistant coach of the Super Eagles under Stephen Keshi Nigeria won Africa Cup of Nations in 2013.
This is the second job he has taken since he left the national.
He had a short spell with as coachof Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, which ended abruptly barely few weeks after he signed.
