The world number four has enjoyed her most successful year on the WTA Tour since 2011 with three titles, including a second Wimbledon triumph in July.

Kvitova, who has only lost 16 matches in 2014, played an integral part in the Czech Republic's semi-final win over Italy to give them a chance at winning a third title in the last four years.

The 24-year-old was unbeaten in the last round as they recorded a comprehensive 4-0 victory, and now, with home advantage, Kvitova is keen to finish the year on a high in Prague.

"I want to win for a third time," she said.

"In the first and second finals it was amazing to win the trophy together, it's not often we get to celebrate as a team. I love this competition and this team.

"Germany are going to be very tough opponents.

"I know I will have a lot of pressure on my back to do everything I can, it's a part of where I am now. It's a lot of pressure on me in the Fed Cup but it's more pressure from myself than anything else."

Kvitova is the stand-out name in Petr Pala's side, with Lucie Safarova, Karolina Pliskova and Lucie Hradecka completing the line-up.

Pliskova has particularly impressed this year, rising from world number 67 to 24, and claiming titles in Linz and Seoul on the way.

For Germany, they are contesting a first Fed Cup final since 1992 and Angelique Kerber has called for focus and aggression from her team-mates.

She is joined on Barbara Ritter's team by Andrea Petkovic, Sabine Lisicki and Julia Goerges, with Kerber confident Germany can claim their third Fed Cup title.

"I'm really excited, I think the whole team are excited as we are in the Fed Cup final after 22 years," said the world number 10.

"Czech is a tough opponent. They have the experience to be in the final and they are at home.

"I think it will be a fast surface so we will need to be aggressive and focused for every single point. I've showed that this year and I hope I will show it in the final."

Petkovic comes into the final as one of the form players after victory at the WTA Tournament of Champions in Sofia last weekend, while Lisicki earns a recall at the expense of Anna-Lena Groenefeld.

Germany have already seen off the challenge of Slovakia and Australia in the previous rounds, both ties finishing 3-1, but their record against the Czech Republic shows only one win in seven meetings.

The most recent encounter took place in 2012, with the Czech Republic winning 4-1 in Stuttgart, with Kvitova winning two half of her side's points.
