There are different ways to crop a dress: from the sides, just below the neck line and at the tummy/waist line. Kim Kardashian,Jordin SparksJennifer Lopez in this hot denim,
There is no problem with being fat or wearing cropped designs, but aMai Atafo Mai Atafo Inspired Fashion House
The red carpets and parties have become the center of attention for most ladies. Those are the places to pose whatever they wear to the eager lenses of cameras. Yet, it’s at the same venues where a woman could get the worse possible fashion comments in her lifetime. So fashion designers have taken the responsibility to advice their clients to go in line with the most comfortable designs that could still make them great at first sight!
The crop designs are best on a worked out body, a flat tommy or a hippy woman. It would be distracting to see a woman with a chunk of her fat stomach budging out of a body-hugging outfit or a busty lady with no hip wearing the cropped look. As Mai says, “it looks odd” indeed!
“A wrong outfit could make a woman weep for weeks. But it could be prevented if the right clothes were worn. Not every woman should blindly follow the fashion trends. Look for what makes you glow and confident. I can’t even imagine seeing an extra flesh popping out of a cropped top on jeans or skirt. That’s ridiculous” Sasha P – CEO, .
If gowns are to be cropped, they must be done appropriately. Whether from the sides, waist line or wherever, it should appear decent enough for any person to wear in public.
“It gets crazy sometimes when you can’t explain to a client that, a cropped outfit won’t be great for her body type. I try to talk but when you can’t listen I just give you what you want then feel bad later” Kemi, a local dress maker in Ketu-Lagos.
My advice to all women who are trying to be trend setters is to be cautious of what to trend. Don’t be naive or careless about what other people think about what you wear in public. Listen to the advice from your designers or tailors. Finally, get something that you will be comfortable in.
