Croatian Star Speaks Ahead of EuroCup Final: "I Came Here Because of Alimpijević!"

"After seven years in the EuroLeague and three years in the NBA, this was my first season in the EuroCup. It's definitely different and enjoyable. I can say that the format is tougher than the EuroLeague because of the knockout system. In that phase, you have to be absolutely focused over two games. We did a good job during the season, finished first, and only played one elimination game. In that sense, we had an advantage, but in this system, anything is possible. As you can see, a very good team like Jerusalem was eliminated. The league is very competitive, and for me, this was a new experience. Honestly, I liked it." - Ante Žižić

"I really like Coach Alimpijević a lot. He's been in this business for a long time and has been successful wherever he's worked. I'm very happy to be working with him. He's a very ambitious coach, he lives basketball 24/7, and he tries to get the maximum out of every player. We can say that in recent years, he has elevated the level of the players he's worked with. Both he and our conditioning coach, Marko Sekulić, were among the main reasons for my transfer here. I believe in their system and I enjoy the basketball we play." - Ante Žižić

"From the beginning of the season, our goal has been to qualify for the EuroLeague. We weren't just saying that for the sake of it; we truly want it. This team was built to win this trophy. It won't be easy, but we see how excited our fans are. Even on away games, we have a large number of Beşiktaş supporters. This club is massive, and the fan support is incredible. It's very important for us to see them back in the EuroLeague." - Ante Žižić
