South Africa's Test series against Bangladesh has come to a fitting end, with the final day of the second Test called off on Monday.

The two-Test series has been ruined by rain and, after three consecutive days were washed out, day five was cancelled without a ball being bowled.

Despite sunshine in Dhaka, the outfield was deemed too wet for play, seeing the series finish 0-0.

Bangladesh had opened the Test by reaching 246-8 on day one, but there was no play after that at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

It came after just 221 overs were bowled in the series opener in Chittagong.

It is the first time Bangladesh have avoided defeat in a Test series against South Africa.
