Coventry Lands Swiss Defender from Eintracht

Premier League newcomers Coventry City have announced the signing of Swiss defender Orel Amenda from Eintracht Frankfurt for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old center-back joins Coventry after two seasons with the Bundesliga outfit, where he made 42 appearances across all competitions. He also boasts seven caps for the Swiss national team.

“I want to win, I want to help the team and help the club succeed,” Amenda stated in a press release.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in this beautiful stadium, meeting the fans, celebrating with them, winning with them. I want to score here too, so I can’t wait to get started.”

Coventry kicks off their Premier League campaign on August 21st with an away fixture against reigning champions Arsenal.
