Court allows former NSA travel abroad for treatment, orders FG to release his passport
The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Federal Government to release the passport of former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki to enable him travel abroad for medical treatment.
The court however ordered the former NSA to produce a surety who would consent to being imprisoned if he were to escape and also ordered that his passport be returned to the registrar of the court within 72 hours of his return to the country.
Dasuki is facing charges of illegal arms possession and money laundering.
The NSA’s troubles began in July after he was removed by President Muhammadu Buhari and saw his homes in Abuja and Sokoto raided by officials of the Department of State Security Services (DSS).
