If you're planning an event in Lagos and want a beach location without leaving your entire event at the mercy of the weather, there's a new option in Lekki.

Coral at The Lofts is a fully indoor, air-conditioned event space located inside 234Loft on Oba Elegushi Private Beach, Oniru.

The new venue is designed for up to 120 guests, depending on the chosen layout, and can host everything from birthday parties and private dinners to product launches, workshops, networking events and corporate gatherings.

The room doesn't have just one look

One of Coral's biggest advantages is how easily the room can change according to the event.

Round tables create a banquet setting for dinners and celebrations. Rows of seating turn it into a presentation or conference venue. A classroom arrangement works for training sessions and workshops, while clearing the centre creates room for parties and more social events.

When there isn't an event underway, the room has its own lounge identity, furnished with blue armchairs, channelled sofas, warm-toned ottomans and wood tables.

That versatility is particularly useful for events with more than one element. A corporate presentation, for example, can move into networking and drinks without guests having to leave the property.

A lot of the event infrastructure is already built in

Coral isn't simply an empty hall.

An overhead truss is fitted with moving-head event lights, while speakers and a sound system are available within the venue. A drop-down projector screen provides a ready setup for presentations, videos and other visual content.

Tables and chairs are also available, alongside air conditioning, 24/7 power, restrooms and on-site parking.

Hosts can make arrangements for catering, food and drinks, with a bar setup available as well.

For event organisers, having those essentials on-site can reduce the number of individual elements that need to be brought in before an event begins.

Then there's everything outside the room

Coral may be indoors, but it is still part of a beach resort.

Step outside, and guests have direct access to Oba Elegushi Private Beach. 234Loft also has a swimming pool and approximately 10 guest rooms on the property.

That makes the venue particularly interesting for events that don't necessarily begin and end inside the hall.

A birthday can continue by the beach. A team event can combine a formal session indoors with a more relaxed experience afterwards. Guests can stay on the property, and event planners have additional spaces to incorporate into the overall experience.

Where does Coral fit into Lagos' event scene?

Not every celebration needs a huge event centre.

Coral sits in the space between a small restaurant gathering and a large traditional event hall, particularly for hosts looking for an indoor event venue in Lekki that still has a destination feel.

Its location and size make it suitable for birthdays, private dinners, launches, workshops, corporate events and intimate celebrations, while the different configurations allow hosts to decide what the room becomes.
