US captain Christian Pulisic was visibly emotional, tears welling in his eyes, after the 4-1 defeat to Belgium in the World Cup Round of 16. The attacking midfielder took full responsibility for the heavy loss on home soil. Pulisic poured his heart out about the disappointment and what wearing the national jersey means to him.

"This team is everything to me. I care so much about this squad, about this country. I hope people know that about me. It's a true honor every time I get the chance to lead my homeland with the captain's armband. It means an awful lot to me," Pulisic shared.

The winger admitted that tough days of analysis and significant changes lie ahead for the US camp, especially after the team appeared utterly helpless against Belgium's class.

"Of course, some things need to change, and we are obligated to improve. We will go back, review everything, and figure out exactly what that is. Right now, I just don't have all the answers," the captain added.
