Super Eagles striker completes move to Moroccan club, Wydad Casablanca
Super Eagles striker, Chisom Chikatara has completed a move to Moroccan side, Wydad Casablance.
Chikatara initially denied signing for the Moroccan side after reports of the move first emerged.
It was reported that the former Abia Warriors star had agreed a move to the club before the start of the African Nations Championship where he scored four goals including a hattrick in Nigeria’s 4-1 win in their first group game.
After interest from other bigger clubs in Europe, Chikatara was said to have pulled out of the move which prompted the club to threaten to drag the matter to FIFA before a deal was finally agreed by both parties.
All seem to have been settled now as he was unveiled by the club on Wednesday, March 2.
Club president Said Nazareth and coach John Toshack were present at the unveiling.
Wydad are currently leading the Brotola Morrocan league with 35 points from 18 games, five ahead of second place FUS Rabat.
