Celebrity rapper goofed, rower did not win a silver medal

Nigerians who are still searching for that elusive Olympic medal since London 2012, had their hopes raised and dashed by the rap legend Snoop Dogg.

Probably due to some good weed or just plain ignorance, celebrity rapper Snoop Dogg goofed big time when he claimed Nigerian rower Chierika Ukogu had won a Silver medal, in the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympics. She in fact came 20th.

The rapper in an Instagram post had insisted that we also celebrate the self sponsored Olympian, who's competing in an event no Nigerian athlete had ever competed in.

Chierika like several other Nigerian athletes had funded herself to Rio with donations received from a GoFundMe page.
