Chief Keef's got himself into a lot of legal trouble in 2013 and 2014. His several issues with legal authorities discouraged the top bosses at Interscope from continuing working with the Chicago teen.

Even after Chief Keef and his team moved to Los Angeles, and tried to prove to Interscope that he was fully focused on music, the record label wasn't convinced. They quietly released Chief Keef from his record contract shortly after.

Chief Keef was signed to Interscope Records in 2012, and released his debut album 'Finally Rich' in December 2012.
