Coach rejected Manchester United for Bayern Munich
Newly appointed Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti rejected Manchester United before accepting his new job.
Daily Mail reports that Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward contacted Ancelotti in November about the possibilities of him replacing Louis van Gaal in the summer.
The report however revealed that the Italian manager was already in advance stages of negotiations with Bayern officials and rejected the chance to coach Manchester United.
Van Gaal’s contract expires after next season and this reports further confirms reports that United are looking to terminate the contract of the Dutch manager if the suitable candidate.
Ancelotti is going to replacePep Guardiola at Baryern Munich and the Spanish coach has revealed that he is going to manage in the Premier League.
Manchester City are favourite to get Guardiola but United might still come in and fight for a chance.
