Enugu Rangers played out a goalless draw with JS Saoura of Algeria at home and progressed through the away goal rule after getting a 1-1 away draw.

Rivers United thrashed Real Bamako of Mali 4-0 and progressed as they played a goalless draw away.

Bernard Ovoke netted a brace while Esosa Igbinoba and Guy Kuemian were the other scorers.

In the round of 32, Rangers will face Zamalek of Egypt. The first leg will hold in Egypt on the weekend of March 10-12 before the second leg in Nigeria between March 17-19.

Rivers United will face Al-Merreikh of Sudan in the next round of the competition.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, Wikki Tourists crashed out after suffering a 2-0 defeat away at Royal Armed Forces Football Club of Sierra Leone.

Tourist won the first leg  1-0 at home but the 2-0 loss means they are out of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Nigeria’s other representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, FC IfeanyiUbah also crashed out after a 3-0 loss to Egypt via a penalty shoot-out.

FC IfeanyiUbah won the first leg 1-0 and with the score 1-0 in favour of Al-Masry in the second leg, the game went to penalty shoot.

FC IfeanyiUbah lost all their kicks, while Al-Masry scored three to progress.
