Bulgaria has guaranteed at least two medals at the European Under-15 Boxing Championships in Trabzon, Turkey, courtesy of semi-final runs by Ana Dobreva and Aleksandar Dimitrov.
In the 42 kg division, Dobreva cruised to a dominant 5-0 unanimous decision over Greece's Eleni Tasiopoulou to book a semi-final clash with Italy's Gaia Novelli. In the 66 kg category, Dimitrov matched that scoreline with a commanding 5-0 win over Croatia's Ivan Miljanic, setting up a final-four showdown against Russia's Egor Noskov.
Elsewhere, Letisiya Mileva (63 kg) and Valeri Todorov (80 kg) both finished fifth in Trabzon, while Detelin Dalakliev Jr. (40 kg) was eliminated in the round of 16.
Two more Bulgarian fighters will be in quarter-final action tomorrow with medals on the line. Emanuel Panov (52 kg) faces Ukraine's Yehor Diachenko, while Ilayda Krasimirova (75 kg) takes on Alina Papashvili, also of Ukraine.
