The Senate had at its Wednesday plenary session shouted down the motion, which was sponsored Philip Aduda (PDP, FCT), even before he explained it.

The noise of "no no" rented the air when Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, attempted to second the motion, leading to a rowdy session.

Nigerian youths are however protesting this rejection on Twitter, with many berating the Buhari administration for failing on its promises.

The topic is currently the number one trending on Nigeria Twitter.
