Senate confirms 17 nominees, excludes Amaechi

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed 17 out of the 18 remaining ministerial nominees of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi is the only candidate who hasn’t been confirmed.

The Senate completed the screening process of the nominees yesterday, October 28, 2015.

The upper legislative chamber has so far confirmed 35 of Buhari’s 36 nominees.
