On Friday, Battle faced Dalton Rosta in the main event of PFL Charlotte at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fighting in front of his home crowd, "The Butcher" had the opportunity to headline an event in his city and finally clinch his first win in the organization. He did just that, overcoming Rosta after 15 minutes of action.

Rosta found early success against Battle, applying consistent pressure and mixing strikes with takedown attempts. However, as the fight progressed, Rosta's pace began to wane, and Battle became increasingly effective. Despite this, neither fighter seemed willing to take significant risks, leading to loud boos from the audience. Even the commentary team noted the cautious approach from both competitors. Ultimately, Battle earned a split decision victory, which failed to truly excite even the local fans.

This win marks Battle's first in the PFL, following his debut loss to Johnny Eblen in March. After the bout, Battle expressed his desire to stay active and delivered a message to his supporters.

"I know you didn't think The Butcher was going to lose a fistfight in Charlotte!" Battle declared in his post-fight speech. "I know you didn't think The Butcher was going to lose a fistfight at home! That's never going to happen!"
