Tourism enthusiast and President of Brooklyn Group of Companies, Alabo Mike Amachree, said recently, that the Brooklyn Museum of African History and Culture in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, would take a new shape as from August.
Leading the delegation, the Anambra-born royal father, Igwe Martin Eze, is expected, as parts of activities to re-launch the museum, pay a historic visit to the place and also proffers ways similar historic edifices could be preserved and stay relevant.
Speaking with pressmen in Lagos recently, Amachree stated that the visit would enable the visitors to evaluate the museum complex and its contents so as to advise in any area where there maybe improvement to meet with local and global expectations.
Amachree noted that the two-day visit will help in fast tracking preparations for the official commissioning of the museum complex expected to house monuments of African leaders and kings such as Emperor Hali Saliza of Ethiopia, Julius Nyerere of Tanzania, Shehu of Borno, King Jaja of Opobo.
