Adele dominates winners list

Adele proved herself as queen having bagged four awards, the highest for the night at the 2016 Brit Awards held in London at the O2 Arena.

She got overwhelmed by the amount of recognition she has received, bursting into tears as she accepted the the global success prize which recognises success overseas.

"To come back after so long away and be so warmly received means so much," she said.

She was one of the performers of the night closing the show with her rendition of 'When We Were Young' to the amazement of the crowd.

After a long period away from music, it is considered highly impressive that the British singer could still such a high significance in music.

Her single, 'Hello' which came off her '25' album received massive airplays all around the world, and was also one of the most downloaded songs of the period.
