Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for September after guiding his side to third place in the standings. The Seagulls kicked off the month with a 1-1 draw against Leeds before cruising to an emphatic 5-0 away win over Coventry and securing an impressive 3-0 victory over champions Arsenal.
This is Hürzeler's second individual accolade, having first claimed the award in August 2024.
Brighton lead the Premier League in several key metrics this season, including possession, shots on target per game, big chances created, and possession won in the final third. In addition, their tally of 16 league goals is three more than the division's second-highest scorers, Arsenal, with Hürzeler's side boasting a prolific average of 3.2 goals per match.
The German tactician beat off competition from Andoni Iraola and Enzo Maresca to take the prize.
The Player of the Month award also went to Brighton, with fellow German Pascal Gross picking up the honour. The 35-year-old midfielder registered two goals and three assists across September to claim his first-ever monthly award. He becomes only the fourth German player to win it, following in the footsteps of İlkay Gündoğan, Leroy Sané, and Jürgen Klinsmann.
Lewis Dunk claimed the Goal of the Month award for his superb strike against Coventry.
Meanwhile, David Raya earned the Save of the Month award for his penalty stop against Sunderland.
