Company set to make 100% locally assembled vehicles soon
Boulos Enterprises Limited has launched a new 50% locally assembled Piaggio CP200 Van.
Based on this, The Guardian reports that the company may be making 100% locally assembled vehicles soon.
Concerning the new Van, the company says the entire rear section, roof unit and all the doors were manufactured in it’s Ikeja factory.
Joseph Fayose , the National Corporate Manager, spoke on the van, announcing that it will only be sold in Nigeria.
“I feel proud that we have launched a vehicle that is ideally suited to our philosophy of “Transport Solutions for Nigeria” this nippy, economical Piaggio van carries up to 400kg and is ideally suited to the streets and roads of Nigeria.
“In fact, because it is manufactured by us it is only available in Nigeria!. It is tough, reliable and Boulos has ample parts stock to ensure the nothing is ever lacking for servicing the vehicle. As we manufacture the van we can configure it for the needs of any business, It can have Back Doors for side streets or Side Doors for back streets”.
Last week, Toyota announced plans to manufacture locally assembled vehicles with it's new plant in 2016.
Vanguard Motoring reports that the plant will be open in the first quarter of 2016.
