The Bruins' 2-0 win over the St Louis Blues at TD Garden on Tuesday was soured by an injury to McQuaid in the second period.

McQuaid appeared to have suffered the injury as he blocked Kevin Shattenkirk's shot early in the second term, which forced him from the ice for the remainder of the game.

The 28-year-old has been an ever-present for the Bruins this season, playing in all 20 games and scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Boston (12-8-0) are fifth in the Eastern Conference with 24 points, five less than leaders the Montreal Canadiens.
