Despite Isak Bonga having a valid contract with the black-and-whites for the upcoming season, it includes an exit clause allowing him to move to either the NBA or another EuroLeague club.
The Belgrade club's management views Bonga as a pivotal player in their plans and has successfully fended off offers from interested European teams thus far. However, interest from the world's premier basketball league fundamentally changes the situation.
Bonga was on the radar of several NBA franchises last summer as well, but he ultimately decided to continue his career in Europe. This year, circumstances have shifted, making his move "across the pond" seem much closer to realization.
It's less likely he'll join another European rival, as all signs point to his next career stop being America once again. Interestingly, Mario Hezonja has a similar contractual option, raising the possibility that both players could make a return to the NBA this summer.
